We collect as little as possible. No account is required, and we don't want your email to tell you where to eat.
What we store
- Locally in your browser: your recent rulings, favorites, and “never again” preferences. These never leave your device unless you share a result.
- On our servers: anonymous decision sessions and results (the restaurant chosen, your constraints, the ruling text) so shared links work. Group sessions store nicknames and preferences participants type in.
- Approximate location: the city/coordinates you pick or grant, used only to find nearby restaurants. We don't store precise device location.
What we don't do
We don't require accounts, sell your data, or expose group participants' private preferences to each other. Group participants don't need email or phone numbers.
Third parties
We send your location and preferences to Google Places (to find restaurants) and to our AI provider (to write the ruling). Free-text you enter is sanitized first. Optional analytics are anonymous and aggregate.
Retention
Anonymous group sessions expire after 7 days. Result and candidate data expires after 30 days unless favorited locally. Reported content is retained for moderation review.
